I don’t quite remember what we were doing on Day 9, but the cast seemed to have a lot of time to pose for pictures.
Niraj Sah plays Param Kaka. This is not his costume, though. He looks a little more rustic in the film.
Gurpal Singh plays Captain Dhonu. This is more or less, the way he looks in the film.
Gurpal shares some grapes with Anuraaj and Pavan. Santoshi, Pavan’s sister, who works as a background artiste in the film, is too shy to partake.
Sunita Rajwar plays Pagli Dadi. Hema Bisht plays Indu. Pubali Sanyal plays Sulla. Gita Guha plays Bimala. Gurpal and Niraj look indulgent.
Gita, Sunita, Hema, Pubali look happy. I was definitely not mistreating them, I think.
Ajay, Harish, Anuraaj and Pavan do their favourite thing, pretend to ride a bike. Here it is only an old Bajaj scooter. Definitely, not on their wishlist of bikes. But they look happy enough.
Santoshi and Anjali join the boys. Santoshi is the little one, Pavan’s sister. Anjali who plays Ghungra in the film, is Anuraaj’s sister.
Sunita and Pubali pose with Putla Devi, who helped Sunita don Pagli Dadi’s costume. The aangdu (blouse) and cap are simple enough. The pakhalu, the black garment, something like a woolen lungi, is a little more tricky.
And here is Satish Yadav who plays Bhagwa Dada, in his costume. And the man behind the still camera.
