Kaphal-Wild Berries

a children's film

giddy up

Watching your film being edited is much like lying on the gynecologist’s table with your legs up in stirrups. As the good doctor bends down, you are praying to God that no untoward emissions of gas escape you, and at any moment, you expect him to bob up and say, “Madam Banno, you have been misbehaving yourself.”

I’ve known my editor for 20 years, but her face remains as inscrutable to me as the doctor’s. Once or twice a day, she chuckles at the computer screen, and I remember to breathe. For the rest, I look at her wistfully, expecting her to turn any moment and say, “Madam Banno, you have been very careless.”

The best possible description of the edit room experience 😀
